* Email notification to the owner of the post when comment is added
* Improved captcha image

04/02/2010 – easy blog 2.0 – New Version and now a simple CMS
A simple blog / CMS software to use as a blog for your existing site or as a simple and easily customizable CMS .
New features
* Better user access management
* Caching
* Image browser
* Pretty urls
* Ability to edit pages and main navigation
* Better dashboard
* Improved security
* Better administration login protection
* 2-levels of comments
* IP and Captcha are used to prevent spam and flood
* Nice Database search that orders results by relevance
* RSS feed of recent posts
* Online documentation on my website (also based on easy blog 2.0)
* And more +
What else should I say
* You can allow superuser to make posts with full HTML and JS (mentioned in documentation), for full CMS experience
* Turn caching ON and OFF
* Find posts with new comments easily (they are displayed on dashboard)
* Add any url to site menu
* Easy to integrate with existing website as a blog
* You can use it as a news module for your site
Requirements
* PHP 5 +
* MySQL 5+
* PHP gd2 extension to resize images, which is included in the most of PHP installations
* Pretty URLs require Apache web server with mod_rewrite enabled, if it is disabled you can still use easy blog 2.0 with normal urls
There are three levels of access
1. Superuser – (“admin”) – Can do anything
2. Admin user – Access is limited to some point (can’t edit site settings)
3. Author – Can only post or edit his/her own posts
Superuser can edit site settings
More updates to come in the future. And of course if any bug appears, it will be immediately fixed.
