TS SIMPLE


1. Before uploading the contents of the folder on the server, Edit the integration.php file in the cometchat folder and remove the following two lines from the file:

Line 18:
<pre class="prettyprint">include_once dirname(dirname(__FILE__)) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . 'application/libraries/OFC/JSON.php';</pre>
Line 35:<pre class="prettyprint" style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(255,255,204)">$db = include dirname(dirname(__FILE__)).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR."configuration.php";</pre>

2. Now upload the folder cometchat to the root of the joomla installation.

3. Then run Run http://yourwebsite.c...hat/install.php, a code will appear, something like

"<link type="text/css" href="/cometchat/cometchatcss.php" rel="stylesheet" charset="utf-8">
<script type="text/javascript" src="/cometchat/cometchatjs.php" charset="utf-8"></script>"

Copy this code.

4. Go to the Joomla admin --> Template Manager --> Your template --> edit html

and paste the copied code right after the <head> tag and save.

5. Now go to http://yourwebsite.com/cometchat/admin and login with the username: cometchat and password: cometchat

and go to settings --> Change Base URL

Set it to the base URL suggested by the cometchat detection algorithm on top of it and update settings.

6. Login to Jomsocial and the bar will appear.

NB:dont forget to delete install.php
